Paul,
I was in Santa Barbara today and happened to walk in to Gallery
Ten-Twenty-Nine. I am not sure it the exhibit was complete or set up.
Didn¹t see anyone there. I must say your images were stunning. This was
the first time I had ever seen full carbon prints they were amazing. I am
a traditional darkroom printer working in medium and large format. I have
been eyeing this forum getting reading to jump in. Seeing your prints have
certainly prompted me to get started. Lovely work.

Subject: [Digital BW] Shameless plug -- Santa Barbara Gallery show
I'm going to be part of a photo show at Gallery Ten-Twenty-Nine, 1029 State
Street, Santa Barbara, CA for October and November. SB has an evening "art
walk" event every first Thursday. I've actually never been there on one of
these, but I understand all the galleries are open on those evenings from 5
- 8 pm. So, it ought to be a fun time to check out the scene.
The brochure for the gallery I'm going to be at is posted at
http://www.paulroark.com/Gallery1029.jpg
I'll have nine 22x28s (or larger) there. All are being printed with Eboni-6
on either Arches Hot Press watercolor paper or Premier Art Smooth BW.
I'm still using the old 7500 for these. (No time yet to set up the 7800,
and parts are still on order for the full-on, hopefully stable carbon
printer design modifications I have in mind for the 7800.)
And if my framing materials don't arrive soon, I'll be experimenting with
the latest thumb-tack style.
