Canon had not, to my knowledge, responded publicly about that. It's  
marketed as a sealed body; but an early expedition to Anarctica caused  
a number of 5D Mll bodies to fail. Possibly a batch problem; a missing  
or misplaced seal. But it does make one think twice about inclement  
conditions. Having a public statement about it would be better than   
leaving a questionmark. Wonderful camera, however...
