I looked at the 3880 and figured it was over kill for what I do. I've already ordered the 2880 and it has shipped. Oh well, maybe I'll know better next time. -----Original Message----- From: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Michael King Sent: Saturday, October 17, 2009 3:45 AM To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [Digital BW] Epson R1900 VS. Epson 2880 So if you are going to print enough to use a CIS - why not just get the new 3880? They are no more expensive than a 2880 once you include the value of the extra ink you get with a 3880 and you won't have the hassle of resetting the ink cartridges /CIS and wasting ink on cleaning cycles every 5 prints (as one cartridge after another empties). Plus you get 17" wide printing and despite that they are not much bigger than a 2880.
