Many years ago, in a galaxy far far away. we would use Turtle Wax (same stuff as for cars) to enhance b & w photographic prints for print competitions. Worked great, picked up finger prints quite easily; however, they would simple buff out. As I remember it would add to the dmax and the gloss. fran fleblanc.com From: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Gary Brown Sent: Saturday, October 24, 2009 9:02 AM To: DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Digital BW] Re: Renaissance Wax coating for prints Recently there was a brief discussion about using Renaissance Wax as a coating on prints. After having tried it on Epson Enhanced Matte & Velvet Fine Art, all I can say is don't bother (at least on matte paper). I had hoped it might enhance and protect the image, but all it did was dull the image and reduce its dmax. I hope I can find some other use for it because a 7oz can (about the size of a yogurt container) cost 27.00.
