RE: [Digital BW] Setting up a CFS - check list?

2002-02-17 by Nij

Cleavis,

The recommendations I send out in addition to the NMC CIS' instructions are
just about as follows:

Check you have all the parts
Check you have all the inks, they are from the right set, and for the right
printer (some inks m'fers have different colour sets for different printer
models)
Do the job when you will not be disturbed ... only have one ink bottle out
at a time
Make sure you put the right ink in the right ink-line
Test the pump before use - pumping action will result in air being forced
out of the side valve on the push cycle. Carefully put thumb over end nozzle
and pull; you should feel the extra pressure, and releasing the syringe
handle will cause it to spring back. Handle pump with care.
Do not over-pump the vacuum on the cart - follow pumping instructions to the
letter
Make sure you put the right ink into the right line
MAKE SURE YOU PUT THE RIGHT INK INTO THE RIGHT LINE!

Most of the above instructions refer directly to parts supplied originally
by NoMoreCarts, a different system may not have the same type of pump etc.

Hope this helps,

Best regards,
Nij
