OK thanks Leslie the filter does not look like it's a sponge more like fiber and if you don't let them run dry I wouldn't think they would foam up. I tried a set of spongeless ones I got on ebay but 4 of them leaked out all the ink through print head (what a mess). The MIS carts are working great so far.
