as i am interested too in the epson 1400, i have another question: 

if want to start BO, can i use the epson oem colour inks in their position and just install the MIS MK. Should that work?

> The last ones I saw were refillable.  The reservoir stopper might be flush with the top of the cart.  So, save the stopper used for the air intake if it has a tab on it for pulling it out.  The others come out easily with a jeweler's screwdriver used to pry them out.  I'm not sure exactly what MIS is shipping now, however.
