I assume you're using a wide format printer. If not, my comments probably won't apply. In my experience, magenta pigments settle faster than most. I had that problem with blended inks -- see page 4 of http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/4K+.pdf, where I measured the green shift in my 7500 with an MIS ink blend. With my generic base I've tested several makes of magenta, and they have all shown signs of settling. I was suspicious that the magenta may also differentially stick to the lines, but I don't know. The problems I've seen showed up first with wide format users who had their printers on counters, such that the movement of the stands did not help agitate the inks. I agitate carts now before turning on my 7800, which has Carbon-6 in it. That won't tone shift but will density shift as the carbon settles. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
