R1900 is a great matte black and white printer with custom b&w inks. Its small dot size of 1.5pl makes really sharp prints. I am running them with Cone inks (inkjetmall.com) and HP-C6 ( http://www.paulroark.com/). I doubt it can do decent B&W the the Epson inks as it has no light blacks.
