Epson 1900 for BW?

Epson 1900 for BW?

2010-03-26 by nsams2002

Any comments on the use of the Epson 1900 for matte black and white prints? How about noticeable color casts? I've been happy with the 2400, but think mine is ready for replacement. Thanks much from Norm.

R1900 is a great matte black and white printer with custom b&w inks.
Its small dot size of 1.5pl makes really sharp prints.

I am running them with Cone inks (inkjetmall.com) and HP-C6 (
http://www.paulroark.com/).

I doubt it can do decent B&W the the Epson inks as it has no light blacks.

Thanks for the information, Mike. I took a look at the Cone site. Are you using the MK-3 setup. Does that involve using only three black-white inks, and still let you use the R1900 for color, without having to change cartridges? Thanks for any info.
