Brian Eno Article: Analog and Digital

Brian Eno Article: Analog and Digital

2002-02-24 by marktuckerdotcom

Here's a link to a well-written article in Wired, by Brian Eno. If
you're old enough, you remember his "Music for Airports" and
"Music for Elevators". It's an article on how technology has begun
to give us so many "options" that it's actually slowing us down in
some cases. He makes some good points. Let's hope this
doesn't apply to Photoshop 7...

Getting the 1160 ink counter...

2002-02-26 by Austin Franklin

I believe this procedure will give you the ink counter:

1) Make sure the printer is turned off.
2) Make sure the printer has paper loaded.
3) Hold down the load/eject button, then press and release the power button.
4) When the power light starts to flash, release the load/eject button.

It should print one page with the ROM version number, ink counter, and a
nozzle check pattern.

5) After the page finishes, turn the printer off.

Let me know if this works... I tried it on the 1270...and it printed out as
stated, with 6 number fields, which is the ink count number, I don't know,
but that shouldn't be too hard to figure out by printing a page after a head
cleaning ;-)
