Scanning Services

2010-09-15 by Michael Jhon

Would anyone care to recommend a reputable, good quality scanning service either in the SF Bay Area (preferrably) or elsewhere? I have quite a few B&W 8x10 prints I would like to have scanned with the intent in some cases of going up to the 13x19" limit of my Epson 1400. I'm familiar with Cantoo locally, but can't afford $50 per image (even if it is 10MB) for more than a few of these. Any recommendations or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Michael
Do you have 8x10 prints or negs. Print you should be Abel to scan on most decent quality scanners. Negs are another issue ending on size.

I am in the bay area as well.

I believe the lightroom in Berkeley offers scanning.

You could check out Lenny Eiger at :http://www.eigerphoto.com/ Lenny is
expensive, but he has the best equipment, an Aztek Premier drum scanner, and
he does excellent work.
