Flush Claria inks before Carbon 6 in R280?

Has anyone had experience with installing the Carbon 6 inks "on top of" (without flushing) the Epson Claria inks in a printer? I'm getting ready to install the Carbon 6 inks in my R280 printer now that I've "run out" the Claria ink carts. If I don't have to I would prefer not to have to flush the Claria inks out of the printhead before installing the Carbon 6 carts. Mike Brubaker
