Has anyone started using Blue Ray discs for image storage? They can store
50 / 100 /up to 250 GB and I'm thinking of going that route.

I have not seen Blue Ray disks, but if they are layered, like DVD+R/-R then you have potential issues.

Think carefully.

Yes, I have started using BD-RE disks. The typical disk holds a little under 25GB. I have an LG 10x recorder and was quite surprised at how fast it created a disk using the Cyberlink software

I haven't investigated longevity. I have multiple copies on hard drives on or attached to two systems and use DVD or Blu-ray for my offsite copies.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
