1400 Eboni-4 + Claria/Noritsu

I've posted my QTR 1400-mis Profiles at: http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/1400-mis.zip Some of the profiles need work, like the ones done today. But there they are for what they are worth. What I'm looking at now is using Claria black with the Noritsu dilute (30%) midtone. They are in the C and Lc positions in the Eb4+ inkset arrangment. See http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Eboni-4-Plus.pdf The Claria/Noritsu black is greenish on most papers. The Noritsu I've mixed with 13% Noritsu M (or claria M) to make a midtone that is not green. On some papers it might be too "selenium" (magenta). With the straight K -- no M in it -- the system becomes a variable tone inkset in that one can use the Claria BO QTR profile along with the blended profile to achieve a good range of levels of Lab A. See http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/1400-ClariaBO-NoritsuM13-Lc.jpg This approach will also involve the generation of Claria BO curves for those who just want to print BO with a stock 1400. Just transfer the C to K. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
