Digital BW, The Print

I unpacked a new C88+, installed a new set of MIS EZ cartridges and started it up. I found that it would only print blank pages. I replaced the MIS cartridges with the OEM ones and it printed properly. The MIS cartridges are not as tall as the OEM but the MIS web site says they should work. Any ideas?

Be sure the air inlets have been opened.  There is usually a tab on the top of the cart that needs to be removed.

That was it. A Google search turned up instructions for refilling an Epson cartridge complete with a cutaway illustration showing which of the two plugs was the air hole. A couple of head cleaning cycles to get a clean test print and I made my first carbon print ever.
