mixing cool and warm glossy compatible inks

mixing cool and warm glossy compatible inks

2012-01-08 by juliebenoitnina

Hello

I would like to know if K4 LK and K4 PK were the same density as UT14LC and UT14C in order to manually mix the inks and make it work in an eboni4-plus workflow and keep the inkset able to print eboni-4 pure carbon prints. I would like to print canson baryta warmer than what is possible with UT14LC and UT14C

thanks

Yes, roughly. The UT14 C and LC are the PK and LK cooled with appropriate color pigments.

You can blend the UT14 C with K4 PK to get intermediate tones. Likewise for the lighter LK & UT14 LC.

The UT14 inks were made cool because in UT14 the warmer carbon inks are there, the the best prints use all of them.
