The fine near-parallel engraved lines produce disturbing moiré patterns

Can anyone here give me some ideas for processing the image to avoid
this problem in the print, while retaining as much detail as possible?
I'm using Photoshop CS6 Extended to make a gray scale TIF, for printing
on an Epson R2400 on Hahnemuhle PhotoRag via QuadtoneRIP.
