Re: [Digital BW] B&W Printing on 1280 with Standard Epson Ink?
2002-03-10 by Jerry Olson
The 1280 runs rings around the 1200. No comparison ! It's also better than the 1160. A test print from the epson 1280 inks withstood 2 months in a sunny window with NO fading at all, compared to a dark storage print. This would translate into many years under normal viewing conditions, I would think. Epson says 26 years. Sounds about right. Quality of black and white prints using the standard 1280 inks is not good, unless you have a VERY good profile between the inks and your printer. Why not get the MIS archival Pigments for your black and white prints and a CIS system? Jerry visionone wrote:
