Canvas (was Acrylic Face-mounting & Digest Number 7950)

Myron,

Not to worry -- the canvas project I'm pursuing will be doable in a home studio without any serious capital costs (though I am "splurging" for a serious workbench to get me off the floor - one of the fringe benefits of getting the kids out of the house and taking over their spaces for a studio).

In the trade-off between surviving in the real world and making the full dynamic range of our media accessible by getting rid of glazing, my sprayed glossy canvas survived a drop onto a tile floor on its corner (smashed, but canvas perfect and easily reparable), and it also survived Scotch tape on the surface being pulled off without damage (matte fails, my sprayed metallic paper with dyes fails). I haven't had the courage to test an expensive museum glass. Of course, the Print Shield (garage) sprayed glossy canvas is also waterproof (matte and my dyes with Lascaux fail).
