Michael,
Was the Epson tech successful in solving the banding you have on the
10000? Are you using the Epson driver with that machine? This seems to
be a common problem\ufffdand one that Epson attributes (at least in
conversations with their tech support) to using a non-Epson driver. We
use the BestColor RIP at work with our 10000 and also have banding in
the black ink. We're thinking of moving to ImagePrint or another RIP but
still in the investigation phase. I haven't had a chance yet to try the
Epson driver with our printer and so was curious about your experience.

Peter,

Please see my post on the Epson 9000 list. Yes, he fixed the banding. It
involves the new firmware, micro adjustments of the stepper motor and
initializing 8-pass printing. It is a problem that Epson is aware of
although they will not admit it. I posted a fully detaill accounting of the
problem and solution.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
