Does anyone have any more information regarding this
printer and its expected availability in the U.S.?
I've heard that it will be in the $450 U.S. range,
putting it right in line with the 1280. Was planning
on purchasing the 1280, but I guess I can wait a
little longer for reviews on this new printer.

Will pigmented inks such as MIS inks clog a 2 picoliter print head?

Think about the rest of the equation...how is the plumbing in the head
designed? Are there right angle turns the ink must negotiate as in the
1160 and the 1280 just below the nozzle and what diameter are they in
x-section? Or would the 2 picoliter restriction occur only at the jet
endpoint? I hear a rumor that the 2000P has a gentler ink path for
example. Perhaps if Epson designs a pig printer for their own inks the
print head would be more condusive to fluid flow.

And unfortunately, I don't think you can use mathmatics to solve that
one. You're back to trying it and see...

More stuff than just jet size to worry about. It's important, but I
would also worry about plumbing path in head.

Unless they are redesigned especially for the 950, I'd be very cautious.
