June & July PRINT EXCHANGE SIGN UP
2002-03-30 by tomoc
Hi all- Sign up is open for the June and July print exchanges. June will be another "no theme" exchange...letter/A4 size exactly on the terms of the May exchange. I will be going on the first 2 week vacation of my life in june, so the ship date will not be as flexible as I have been on all the other exchanges. I would like to receive all prints by June 1, but I MUST have them by JUNE 4 so I can sort and reship them before I leave on June 8. On June 4, I will ship what I have; if some are missing, I will have to ship back prints to participants and any arriving after june 4 will just get sent back. Sorry to sound so dictatorial, but it's either that or skip June. If you worry you cannot meet this deadline, please sign up for a later month. July will be the obvious...PATRIOTIC THEME...please ship to arrive around July 4. (but not during my vacation, June 9-22) Same terms...letter/A4, fedex shipping, etc. Data sheets below. Keep shooting... Tom O'Connell TomOC@... www.thomasoconnell.com --------------------- June data Sheet: June - No Theme - Print Exchange data sheet * Sign up will be limited to the first 15. * Prints must arrive on West Coast U.S. by June 1. * Unless we find it is impossible from the country of origin (or Piggly Wiggly), shipping should include a prepaid return shipping voucher/label (and container if the original cannot be reused). I will work with anyone who really has a problem with this, but this really is what is making the monthly exchange work. I strongly prefer Fedex, but UPS is fine, too if you include the shipping label. Prints will get redelivered in order of ease of delivery..i.e. not sure when I can get time off to stand in line at the Post Office.) * Prints will be BOTH Letter and A4. This is a shipping challenge. It is imperative that all prints be shipped in a container that will accomodate BOTH SIZES of paper since the return will include both sizes. The MEDIUM Fedex box fits the SMALL Fedex Box inside for very easy return and the SMALL BOX neatly holds both sizes of print ... maybe add a little tissue for protection. This would be the method STRONGLY PREFERRED for quick easy turnaround. Sending prints in the manufacturer's paper box WILL NOT WORK... A4 will not fit in letter, nor will letter fit in A4. * Prints should all be enclosed in individual glassine/plastic holders with a description sheet facing the back (for sorting). These are available from many sources, small quantities are for sale at inkjetart.com... larger quantities all over the internet. The description should include at least: Print title, your name, shooting data, printing data. At a minimum this should include printer, inkset, software (including print driver/software). Any comments or stories on workflow would be very interesting and welcome. * THE THEME...no theme in June... Show us your best. * After I receive 15 signups, I will post on the forum, but will continue to take names for a waiting list, just in case we have a "drop out" or "no show" but I will not enlarge past the 15 level so those who chose to can print early and mail them off. * Any suggestions for this exchange or future ones solicited and welcome (all the ideas came from the forum anyhow...unless you REALLY like them, then they ARE mine <g>). ------------ July data sheet: July - Patriotic Theme - Print Exchange data sheet * Sign up will be limited to the first 15. * Prints must arrive on West Coast U.S. by July 5. * Unless we find it is impossible from the country of origin (or Piggly Wiggly), shipping should include a prepaid return shipping voucher/label (and container if the original cannot be reused).
