Photo workshops and expeditions

2002-04-04 by tomoc

I've never been much of a "meeting go-er" and usually sleep through
seminars that are more than an hour... but I've been reading about a
lot of photo workshops that are "hand on" by definition and wonder if
anyone here has taken part in any...if so what you feel the value
is/was/might be...

An article in this month's OUTDOOR PHOTOGRAPHER lists a bunch of
them. I'm thinking about one near home etc.

Cheeseman's Ecology Safaris
Close-up Expeditions
Mountain Light Photography
Palm Beach Photographic Center
Rod Planck Photography
Santa Fe Photography and Digital Workshops
West Coast Imaging Photoclassroom.com
Great American Photography Weekends
Lapp Institute of Digital Imaging

These are the ones that caught my eye on the list...any comments good
or bad on any of them???

Thanks,

Tom O'Connell

Tom,

I am not sure if you are aware of this fact, but I am on the Board of
Directors (Vice President) of the Palm Beach Phototgraphic Centre. If
you want, I would be pleased to give you insight into the workshops
and expeditions. We are a not for profit organization that runs a
museum, workshops, expeditions, and programs for abused and at-risk
children.

This summer, we are running incredible expedition/workshops in Cuzco
Peru. We have instructors such as Phil Borges. I don't want to take
up space here so please check out www.workshop.org, or you can call
me in the office for more info.
