Re: [Digital BW] Newbie Question--1280 and MIS FS inks

Darin, The hex MIS Full Spectrum inks were designed for use with the Piezo driver. They do not represent a normal hex set since the M and Photo M, and the C and Photo C inks are the same which is how the Piezo inks are set up in the hexatone printers. There are workflows using the Epson driver with the FS inks for quadtone printers and I believe Paul is working on something for the 1280. At the moment you need either the Piezo driver (buy one of the $335 kits, it doesn't matter which one because you only want the software which includes support for all the printers they list). I think this is a pretty good price for what you get. The other choice would be to get some MIS VM cartridges and use those with Paul Roark's curves.
