paper choices

2002-05-10 by Bill Giffen

I am currently interviewing papers for an opening at my studio. I use 7000
MIS FS inks , imageprint. I have profiles for the following papers.

Hahn- photo 308- not tried
Hahn- Torchon- not tried
Legion- Mueso 250- I like this
Legion- Photo Matte - I like this
Legion Bright Cube- not tried
Epson fine art textured- not tried

What papers would you add to this list and why. I also need a canvas. I
would like to nail down 4-5 papers with different characteristics and also a
canvas or two.

The folks at Colorbyte will profile the paper I send them within a day or
two.

Thanks Bill

Museo is not a legion paper...its Crane.

Bright Cube is not a legion paper...it is the company that makes
Eclipse...you could try the Eclipse Satine Soft White---300gm double sided
paper, 100% rag and OB free...it has a smooth side and a rough
side...durable surface compared to Hahnamuhle papers. It is also much
cheaper than the other options.

The best canvas that I've seen is the BRIGHTCUBE ARNO ART CANVAS. I
believe it is the same coating as the Eclipse Satine Soft White.

Robert took the words right out of my PC.....

Eclipse and the Arno Canvas would be up on my list along with the Hahnemuhle selections.
