Portfolios and Presentation Cases for 13 x 19 Digital Prints..

Portfolios and Presentation Cases for 13 x 19 Digital Prints..

2002-05-13 by Editor P.O.V. Image Service

Here's the weird thing...

ClearFile and InkJetArt.com both have print protectors in 13" x 19"..

Clearfile has them in 12" x 18" as well.

But apparently, not a single company in the whole bloody world makes a
portfolio or presentation case for 13 x 19 (or 12 x 18) prints...

Sure they make 16 x 20 or larger...

But, I personally don't relish the idea of my prints flopping around
inside sleeves/pages that are significantly larger than my print...
With heavier/larger prints that is just not a good idea...

The traditional sources: Prat, Light Impressions, ClearFile don't have
13 x 19 portfolios.. Even InkJet Supply places and Art Supply Places
don't.. Does anyone know if there arew ANY sources of 13 x 19 portfolios?

Or, do we just need to convince Prat, ClearFile, LightImpressions, etc.
that there is a market for portfolios in this size... Speacking of that,
is there?

Keith,

These guys make every size and type of bag known to man. And
they are here in the US if that is more convenient...

One other place not yet mentioned is Lost Luggage
(http://www.lost-luggage.com). 13x19 is not one of their standard sizes but
they will custom make any size (for a price, of course). These are on the
higher end of the price range.

Lineco will also make them. They are at 800-322-7775. They make a
Lineco L-Velope envelope that is very nice. It is 4 mil mylar. They
are high quality and I have used them for their 18x24 inch size for
large prints. These are good durable sleeves and I have just
contacted Lineco for a quote for a bulk order if anyone is
interested. I will post the prices when they call me back. I agree
that this would be a great product as there is nothing out there.

Along the same line, does anyone know of a "mailer" in this size
(13x9). The carboard package used for the Epson Archival Papers, 20
sheet quantity, would be ideal, but I can't find a source for them.

Thanks
Kevin
