Image database software

2002-05-20 by stevekphoto

A friend and programmer has been working (occasionaly) on an image
organizing program for me specifically intended to keep track of
what I have, and which images are out on consignment, edition
numbers, sale prices, return dates, etc. It organizes the work in
terms of 'portfolios', and will soon be able to quickly assemble a
new portfolio out of elements of other portfolios, thumbnails
included, and print out a list of same to use as delivery
verification and receipt when work gets consigned to a gallery. It
has no image editing components, no extra baggage of any sort, and
since it is still being written, has great potential for design
input for any one willing to by an inexpensive beta version and
provide feedback. If anyone is interested, the person's name is
Clayton Jones, and he can be reached at: topdown@...
One minor note: this is a windows-only program-sorry!

Seems like Cumulus 5 will do everything that people are interested in. This
is the industry standard in asset management and handles many of the exotic
raw digital formats. The Single User version came free with my D1x...but I
don't think the single user version is too much $$$. More info at
