I display my work without glass for the most part. When the work hangs in a gallery, then I glass with regular. I rotate the work displayed at home and DON'T display where direct sun will hit the work.
Remember, photographs last longer than photographers...

Bernhard. 
If you change prints frequently like a gallery they don't need glass.
For permanent, decorative display your prints will collect air-borne
contaminants, small creatures, and nose prints without glass.  The best
thing is to either light them properly or expect to replace them from time
to time.
