NoMoreCarts Replacement Part Source?

NoMoreCarts Replacement Part Source?

2001-08-30 by Tom Keesling

I received my MIS VM-HEX inks today and am in the midst of trying to
get the CIS set up. However, after getting two carts filled for my
1280, both nipples for the vacuum pump have broken. I didn't have
this problem when I first installed the CIS with other inks a few
weeks ago.

I've emailed NoMoreCarts, but thought I'd also ask here if anyone had
any suggestions where I should go to look locally for replacement
nipples so I can finish this installation yet today. I live in
Indianapolis, so I should be able to find them somewhere, but I'm not
sure where to start looking for something like this.

Thanks...

Tom

Tom,

Just some wild thoughts. Look for a scientific supply store or a
store that specializes in plastic tubing. Might look for some tubing
at a hobby shop. By combining different sizes with some super glue
you might be able to make your own adapter.

Thanks, Martin. After I posted, Dave at NoMoreCarts responded to my
email and offered to get me some overnight. Apparently, there was an
earlier batch of these things that were a problem. If I don't have
them by noon tomorrow, I'm going to follow up on your suggestions.
