Digital BW, The Print

I'm trying to get a sense of which papers are good out there.  I've 
tried Conetech Matte, Hahnemuhle Photo Rag, and Somerset 
Velvet and Photo Enhanced and am really liking the Photo Rag.  
It seems to have really good detail in the dark areas and a nice 
smooth finish.  Plus the bright white surface is really nice.  Does 
anyone have any favorite papers that they can recommend for a 
similar look?  Also, where is the cheapest source for the 
Hahnemuhle Photo Rag?  

In addition, for proofing, would it be accurate to proof on Epson 
Archival Matte and print the final output on the Photo Rag?  I'm 
using the Piezography driver and profiles.
