aa, You might try the soaked paper towel routine as this is probably something that should be done periodically to keep the bottom of the heads clean. You could also put in some Epson cartridges and run 2 or 3 purge pares. The Epson carts are great for cleaning. What setting are you using in the Piezo driver? If it is set to Best, try a print with it set to Better and see how that looks. Also the vertical banding and/or "window screen" pattern where the Piezo dither show through can sometimes be improved by adjusting the print size slightly, without resampling, so that it falls close to an odd number dpi rather than even or a multiple of 10.
