Digital BW, The Print

Works for me, Dani. More often than not. One of my 1280s is running the new 
Piezotones, the other has MIS FS. I prefer the latter for people. Good luck.

I would say that a 1280 with the Piezo driver and new PiezoTone inks would certainly get you pretty close to home plate. If you go this route, keep us posted because I'm thinking about investing in this same setup, though I've already got the Piezo software.

Wow!  What a lively, informative forum this is.  The problem is, 
there is SO much information here, that is really overwhelming to 
someone who's just coming in and trying to get to the simple 
mechanics of WHICH printer/WHICH ink for the most archival and best 
printing qualities.  I thought I understand basic digital printing, 
obviously not--You guys are GOOD! :)

So, I'm going to try to get my answer in the simplest way I know:  
Tell you my conclusions, and y'all tell me if I'm close.

#1) I can't use my 1270 since it doesn't support the inks I need.  
#2) Since a 11x14 is large enough for me, a 1280, used solely for 
black and white printing; with Piezo inks and software is my best bet.

Am I close?  :)

Dani,
 I have 2 1280's printing Selenium and Warm Neutral prints and have been
quite satisfied, although there a few quirks one has to deal with when
dealing with inkjet output.
