Don:
Chris Brandin's RGB partitioned workflow for the MIS-original inkset
or the Woolf or Nivins lumped (non-partitioned) workflows should get
you into the ball park. If you are just starting out, I'd recommend
you start with John Woolf's/Nivin's curve -- it's easier to tweak 1
curve than 3). All these workflows are located in the MIS workflow
webpage at
http://www.inksupply.com/index.cfm?source=html/workflow.html.
How to tweak these workflow curves using a flatbed scanner can be
found in the Files section of this forum at
Files> Ink Sets> MIS> MIS FS profile_make2.pdf
This document specifically shows how the Randall RGB partitioned
workflow for the 1160 was developed, but the concepts will work in
general for createing/tweaking any partitioned or lumped curves.
Note that the ink postions mentioned are for the FS and FSN inksets.
The MIS-original inkset has different ink positions, but again the
concept is the same. Lay in lots of ink and boxes of paper (;>))
Hope this helps.
