I've always heard the original inks have "greenies" problems and often clog printers, especially 1160's. Should I even consider trying the original inks? Best regards, Richard mailto:richard@...

When I read this, it doesn't lead me to that conclusion: "The bwguys are happy to announce the continued availability of the "Classic" Sundance Neutral Warm inks, formerly distributed by Cone Editions Press, Ltd. under their brand names PiezographyT BW and PiezographyT BW Pro..." Anyone know more about this? Regards, Austin

Austin, A semi-open secret apparently that has been know by a lot of people. My understanding is that Sundance and R9 were marketing the ink and plugin thru Digital Art Supplies before entering into an exclusive arrangement with ConeTech a couple of years or more ago. This got talked about little while back when DAS started offering the ink and plugin again. I too assumed than Cone designed the original inks and software but after other sites started selling the inks it became apparent that Cone simply had exclusive rights to sell those inks for a limited period of time. I think the new Piezotones are Cone's though and are not being sold through some licensing arrangement. Jon, I'd be interested in knowing about the PiezoBW software - do you hire programmers to write this for you or, again, is this owned by someone else with you simply licensing it out? Personally I'd like to see you with as much control over the products you sell as possible. -- Tony Terlecki ajt@...
