Re: [Digital BW] Premature page eject with B&W printing

This is normally a problem with the print spooler. I was playing around with my HP with some of my scanned 4x5's. I desktop which is also a server for a local network. I have my laptop on the network when I'm at home and my wife's computer is on it also. When I printed at large file from the server it would eject. This was true in both Picture Window and Photoshop. I contacted HP and was told it is the size of the file that has to be spooled. They gave me some fixes but none worked. I then went to the laptop (I have Picture Window on the laptop) and printed it over the network (the printer is hooked to the desk top). No problem. I think printing this large a file requires a large number of system resources and the desktop because of what else it is doing doesn't have the necessary resources ( a big MS problem - wouldn't be a problem in Unix ). The laptop is not tied up doing other things so has more resources available. So you might want to check out your system configuration and see if you can tune it.
