Using Rolls in Desktops

Using Rolls in Desktops

2001-09-02 by hgporter@yahoo.com

This is a cross post.

Is anybody using roll papers in the 1160 & 1200? Are there feed
problems? I am thinking of getting 13"x39 ft rolls to print more of
a panorama format (13x20 to 13x26).

My 2000P came with a roll feed set-up. I don't recall getting one
with either the 1160 or the 1200. Yet I believe Epson's spec for
both printers is for use with paper up to 13 x 44.

Best regards,

Gregory,

Yes the Epson length is limited to 44". This is one big advantage of
the Piezo driver, as I have seen it explained, is that it reaches the
44" mark and just keeps on going.

I have the roll feed for my 1280 but I don't know I would trust it to
support a heavy roll of paper. At a 20" to 26" length I would be
inclined to just cut off what I needed and hand feed the sheet to the
printer.
