Gregory, Yes the Epson length is limited to 44". This is one big advantage of the Piezo driver, as I have seen it explained, is that it reaches the 44" mark and just keeps on going. I have the roll feed for my 1280 but I don't know I would trust it to support a heavy roll of paper. At a 20" to 26" length I would be inclined to just cut off what I needed and hand feed the sheet to the printer.
