I notice that their main site is down but google searches allow you in! I
thought they'd removed posts if requested??

more re: binbooks

I thought that they had removed ALL of this list. The inner pages are
still live, and long indexed by Google. They've just closed the main
door.

Re: [Digital BW] more re: binbooks

2002-09-02 by Tim Spragens

Alan, Bill, Martin,

the link to my own name, which I reached this morning, has now been
pulled. Either someone had a quiet word, or they were watching and
pulled the pages, I assume. The Google cache starts to load the same
thread, but is then redirected to the binbook site.

With this sort of prank, I wouldn't be surprised if next time they'll
close the front door, as well as the windows, and put it back up as a
paid service.

My Google links showed up just fine. Does anyone remember who
this binbooks guy was and how to e-mail him directly? I have
little there, but I'd like him to delete it.

Tim, I just did a search, and found references in Google, but
the links
showed that the page was "no longer available."

I did the name-binbooks thing and got a bunch of old listserv messages -
what a legacy! They no longer were available at binbooks even via google.

Yeah, mine showed up, too... This guy is really taking advantage.

I'm really surprised that Yahoo wouldn't want to shut him down...
