Use ImagePrint 5?

The tint picker (for B&W images) was not working. ImagePrint have
worked on the problem, and I am delighted to say - it now works :-)
A couple of new files are needed from ImagePrint for the fix.

Quentin, where did you download the files?
Didn´t find them on their website.

Keep up the great work. Hopefully, you and colorbyte and Andrew will tweak
that RIP for the rest of us. I am looking forward to a working 2200 version, for
OS X before Christmas !! Maybe by then, they will have lowered the price or
bundled a deal with Epson ????

Interesting facts that I have gleaned from reading this list lately:

- Andrew was instrumental in the North American prohibition of Gray
Balancer from the Epson 2000 driver
- there have been several online reviews of Gray Balancer that have been
very positive
- the aforementioned reviewers have stated that GB is easy to use, which
is in direct conflict with Andrew's statements.
- at least one reviewer had an easy time with a French GB without
reading the French manual, in spite of French being only a high school
language for him. Also, because this French copy was bootleg, the
reviewer had to use a substitute Kodak Gray scale for the Epson
standard. The reviewer reported dead neutral B&W prints in spite of
this.
- Andrew has gone out of his way to tout IP5 as the best thing since
sliced bread and sex combined
-other owners and recent purchasers of IP5 have not been so enthusiastic
- Andrew has indicated his efforts to get IP5 bundled or discounted for
Epson customers
- GB was free. IP5 costs $500 per year to get updates and support. It
should not be as good as IP5 considering this outrageous annual cost. If
GB is functional (and Andrew is the lone voice saying it was not), then
GB should be offered as a low cost alternative
- we do not know what fiduciary relationship Andrew might have with
ColorByte. But it's tough to believe that Andrew is not smart enough to
get good results with Gray Balancer when all these other folks
apparently are.

It makes one wonder.

I was sent them by Daniel at Colorbyte.

I assume my tint picker problem is a general one, but you might like
to try yours out first (I'm on a PC). In any event, I'm sure Daniel
or John will send you a copy.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
