Digital BW, The Print

List,

How would the Epson Black (fyi I use an 1160 on Mac) compare to the
Piezotone blacks - dmax, longevity. I have one or two carts for this printer
and am disturbed by the posts re: black lightfastness and Piezotone
Selenium. I am currently loaded and printing with the Piezotone carts.

Jamie,

The Epson dye ink used in the 1160 cartridges does not have a very 
long life at all. Wheither it is longer than the PiezoTone black I 
don't know but since it is all dye and the PT black is supposed to be 
pigment the PT would in theory be better. Best to get some MIS FSN 
black carts to go with the Piezotone grays at this point.
