Re: [Digital BW] Digest Number 1025

After all my clogging nightmares, I've been working on a good cleaner/solvent - better than Windex/Fantastik for Epson printers. We have one that seems to do an excellent job on Cone and MIS pigmented inks - and it's fully biodegradable. I'm looking for a few volunteers with terminal clogs to give the product a try using the "Windex" method - either pad to soak heads or direct injection and extraction from heads. If it proves successful in restoring a few old dead 1160s, 3000s etc. then I will make it available to the list at a reasonable cost. I will send the first six volunteers a small bottle (free) with the following caveat: This is a largely UNTESTED product. While I have no reason to believe that it will damage Epson heads, and while it has shown great promise on pigmented inks, I will not be responsible if damage results to your printer. CAVEAT EMPTOR. If you have an otherwise dead (from clogs) printer - especially one that's been sitting for a long time unused, let me know off list. If you're one of the first six, I will send you a trial bottle of the product free. Rick Colson colson@...
