F-16 failure -- new CFS

F-16 failure -- new CFS

2002-10-03 by Glenn Thureson

I have the VM ink all set up and looking good. However, when I turned on
the
printer (1280), the ink light was on. So I went through all of the F-16
procedure (as far as I can tell), but to no avail.

I have gotten successfully through step 3c in the F-16 instructions. Step
3d fails, 1280 ink light still on. Then I went to Note 1 on page 5. Still
no joy. The ink light remains on.

And MIS is moving.

I would appreciate your help.

Glenn:

Might be a problem with the F-16, the cart chips, or your printer.
If you have Epson carts that you haven't run dry, you might try re-
installing them to see if you can get a printer reset to eliminate
your printer as a source of the problem. Remember to plug the outlet
holes of your CFS carts if you remove them even for just a little
while. Make sure to turn the power off when removing and installing
the carts (some folks also unplug the power cable).
