EAM SO41341 ?

EAM SO41341 ?

2002-10-10 by frankg_photo

Last time I bought, it was called Archival Matte paper SO41341
(8.5x11) - this isnt listed.
What is it called now ?
Is it the S041257 Heavy Weight Matte Paper ?

thanks
frank

Frank,

Epson and Atlex still list Archival Matte SO41341. This is
definitely NOT the same as Heavy Weight Matte. The latter is
supposedely designed for dye inks, and is considerably thinner and
less white than EAM. But, I have seen good pigment prints on it.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Shilesh - just found it at Atlex - can't understand why my
first search for it didn't find it? duh.

Now I have to try and find another supplier with those prices that'll
take a Canadian Visa card - any idea ?

Frank,

I don't know how to attach a lnk :-(

But go to Atlex, click on Epson, scroll down to Epson Paper, click on
Archival Matte (left colum, third from bottom). The first item,
called Enhanced Matte 8.5 x 11 is what you are looking for. If you
don't alreadt know, Enhanced Matte is the same as Archival Matte.

Good luck.

The same great prices? I am not sure you will find anything
approaching Atlex's prices. I certainly have not. Sorry!

I thought some of you got a bad batch of paper from Atlex. Are they
set up to store them properly? It will be no bargain if the paper is
damaged by heat or something else.

Bill,

I found EAM at CompUSa that just as yellow as the batch I received
from Atlex. It is apparently an Epson issue.

Epson just replaced 2 boxes of the bad EAM for me. I don't think it
has anything to do with Atlex.
