Please Help if you can! CIS - Big Problem with large air gap in cyan ink tube

Please Help if you can! CIS - Big Problem with large air gap in cyan ink tube

2002-11-17 by Jerry Olson

Hi Group, if anybody has had this problem, please e mail me and let me
know how you solved it.

Just installed generations inks and a CIS system. Everything went fine,
the inks all went into their respective
cartridges just like they should have, in less than a second.

But there is a 10 " air gap in the photo cyan tube, and it won't go
down. The printer has sat overnight, and it
hasn't gone down a millimeter.

All ink bottles have the same level, so the cartridge must be full of ink.

When I squeeze the bottle slightly, the ink fills the tube right away,
but as soon as I let up on it, air fills the
tube again.

Can anything be done short of getting yet another color cartridge? This
would be the third defective cartridge I've
had in the past 3 months.

However the other two exhibited the air gap problem with all the colors,
so the entire cartridge was defective. In
this case it's only the one color.

Jerry -

Is this MediaStreet's "knock off" cis (Niagara Something) or
NoMoreCarts' real CIS?
