Pricing of Prints

However, there is a photographer out in Utah and Arizona (Michael Fatali) who has a novel approach to pricing his photos. When a print first sells, he sells the first 10 (or some such number) for X dollars. Then after that number has sold, he ups the price for the next 10; and so one. So that his most popular prints become MORE pricey (not necessarily more valuable). Just curious, what do people on this list think of this approach?
