There's always Epson Enhanced Matte. Reasonably priced.

I use EEM already for cut sheet printing and am very happy with it,
but I have not found it in 13" rolls (which I use for panorama
prints.) Do you know of a supplier? Or does one have to buy a larger
roll of EEM and chop it down?

Thanks, Kim

I don't know if it is made in 13 inch rolls. It does come in 24 inch
rolls, which I cut down.

Jerry,

How do you cut a roll down? Need to do this for panoramas.

Phil, I have a huge table in my basement, about 30 feet long by 4 feet
wide. I built it for mat cutting on half of it, and starting seeds
under lights on the other half. So I have about 15 feet to spread out a
roll. For 24 inch panoramas, I just cut the paper however wide it is,
from 8 to 12 inches wide.

For 36 inch panoramas, I have a Large metal Square, and cut it across
first, and then, depending on the width, I just cut it down the middle.
I usually get 2 12" x 38"
sheets out of a 38" inch long cut. I then print an image about 10x36
inches or so, on that paper, giving roughly an inch all around the
image. Some of the panoramas are 10 or 11 inches wide, giving 2 or 3
inches around all sides of the image. Depends on their length.

Thanks, Jerry,

I thought maybe you had developed a way to cut the rolls down narrower,
like 2 ea 12" rolls out of a 24" roll. I suppose it could be done on a
wood lathe with a good blade and tool holder. I would like a 12 or 13"
roll.

I've been told a band saw with a blade with no teeth would slit it, but
I don't think
with my luck I'd dare try it. I believe Media Street will slit a roll
for you if you buy it from them.

Digital Art Supplies carries Photo Rag and some other papers in 13"
rolls. I think I remember hearing that they've got the gear to cut down
rolls in-house, so you may want to email them and see if they can do it.
