Digital BW, The Print

Has anyone used both inks?? 
I am not sure what to get  -  the print samples I got from 
the Inkjetmall look really good, but I have not seen any prints 
made with the Small Gamut from Lyson.

Glad for any thoughts/hints.

Please can someone explain what (apart from the plastic coloration) is the
difference between the boxed 1290 set and the boxed 1290S set (in the UK).
