Chromira, Lightjet, Frontier & other non-inkjet options for B&W?

Hi all, Exploring my options for my portrait clients who do not wish to buy anything inkjet, no matter the inkset or creative renaming of the process. I am currently getting excellent, predictable results outputting my B&W files to a Chromira at Holland Photo here in Austin. Service is excellent and very personal, but the prints are relatively expensive ($11 for 8x10, $30 for 16x20), which cuts into profits. Their paper selection is limited to glossy or a decent matte, but I find this less of an issue for portrait work. For me, the digital darkroom offers too many advantages to return to traditional printing. Am interested in any and all experiences with output to machines that don't lay ink on paper, but are exposing light-sensitive paper to create a "real," high-quality black and white photographic print from a digital file. Where do you go, how much does it cost and how consistent are the results? How controllable are color casts? Any info on archival issues for specific papers? TIA, Doug http://www.intrinsicpictures.com
