Dot Gain and other profiles

2002-12-23 by Clayton Jones <cj@cjcom.net>

Hello All,

I have revised the third digi printing article to include a more
thorough discussion on using the Gray Gamma and Dot Gain profiles.
The new information is in part 4) of the "How To" section. The
articles are written for people just getting started, or thinking
about it, and can be found at http://www.cjcom.net

Thanks to all those who have taken time to email me. It's encouraging
to know that people are benefitting from the effort.

Best Regards,
Clayton

black-only printing in context (was Re: [Digital BW] Dot Gain and other profiles)

The third ("Digital Tri-X: An Alternative Approach") of the three
articles Clayton Jones has written and published on this page of his
web site

http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm

concludes with some how-to advice about getting started with
black-only digital B&W printing. But Clayton's series of three
articles is also a successful attempt to put "BO" printing in the
context of digital B&W printing more generally. His series seems to
me an especially valuable resource for anyone thinking about getting
started with digital B&W printing, whether via BO or not.
